Wheeler Fleet Solutions designed a supplemental hazard lighting kit for Ford Transits, the Ford Transit Rear Door Flasher Kit, No. 01-6116. The kit was designed to increase visibility and improve driver safety when the vehicle is stopped. When the rear doors are open, they can block the vehicle's hazard lights, leading to accidents with oncoming traffic, the company says. Wheeler's supplemental lighting installs flush on the inside of the rear door and remains visible when the doors are opened.
