The new tire is designed for regional and less-than-truckload applications, with features including a tread compound for fuel efficiency, durability, and scrub guard.
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced its new Cooper WORK Series Regional Haul All-position (RHA) 2 tire. The RHA 2 is designed for super-regional and regional all-position commercial vehicle applications, including Less-than-Truckload (LTL) fleets, and is SmartWay verified.
"The super-regional category is evolving with shorter routes between shipping hubs and a focus on improving efficiency by being closer to last-mile delivery fleets," said Joe Burke, vice president, North America Commercial at Goodyear. "The new Cooper WORK Series RHA 2 helps address these needs by combining a long-haul tread with a scrub guard compound, creating a tough tire that can handle everything from long trips to urban traffic."
The tire features a tread compound that balances long-haul and regional applicability and can provide fuel efficiency and durability. Its scrub guard compound also helps resist wear in high-scrub applications, while the five-rib tread provides a wide footprint and solid shoulder for even wear and the stone protector ledges helps protect the casing for retreadability. Finally, the RHA 2 features the Cooper Wear Square indicator to help fleets estimate the remaining tread life for each tire.
