EnduraSure-Pro Sealed Spring Brake

The Bendix EnduraSure-Pro sealed spring brake for air disc brakes is now available as a factory-installed option for Peterbilt medium- and heavy-duty trucks. It uses a sealed architecture to block moisture, dust, and debris from entering the spring brake chamber, helping reduce corrosion and premature failure linked to contamination. The design replaces traditional drain holes with a one-way check valve in the dust plug, allowing air to escape while keeping contaminants out. Bendix reports the system can extend power spring life up to five times versus standard designs and improve durability through reduced internal stress. The unit is also engineered to improve safety by helping prevent spring failure that could affect parking brake performance and increase rollaway risk.
