The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) recently released its 2014 Digital Aftermarket Factbook, an assessment of aftermarket trends. The report gives a comprehensive overview of the entire aftermarket industry and includes enhanced features such as downloadable charts, tables and graphs, live embedded hyperlinks and bookmarks.

The economic anlaysis by Dr. Timothy Nash, a professor at Northwood University, notes that aftermarket business leaders remain negative about the economy with little change expected on the aftermarket industry's performance over the next 12 months.

A positive trend was noted in aftermarket employment. The report notes the upward employment in 2011 continued in 2012 with a 2.5 percent gain in employment. Wages also increased in all automotive aftermarket sectors from 2003 to 2012.

The online format allows readers to turn pages with the click of the mouse, locate data with the comprehensive "word search" feature and print a copy of the entire publication. AAIA members received a complimentary copy of the Digital Aftermarket Factbook 2014 as a member benefit, with three guest passes included. While additional copies may be purchased for $200, the non-member price is $500. The fact book is available for $650 to AAIA members and $1,300 for non-members.
