Mitsubishi Fuso announces new CEO for North America

June 23, 2015
Jecka Glasman will succeed Mr. Todd Bloom as MFTA’s president & CEO, effective July 1.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. (MFTA) will soon make a leadership change. Mr. Marc Llistosella, Head of Daimler Trucks Asia, as well as President and CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC), the parent company of MFTA, has announced that Ms. Jecka Glasman will succeed Mr. Todd Bloom as MFTA’s president and CEO, effective July 1.

In making the announcement, Llistosella notes, “The skill and experience Todd Bloom has gained in the last five years at the helm of MFTA will be used on a number of international assignments for MFTBC. At the same time, MFTA will benefit from the strong, process-focused and fresh, objective viewpoint brought to its leadership by Jecka Glasman. Together, we will continue to work to build the North American market and establish the FUSO brand as a major player in the medium duty truck segment.”

According to Ms. Glasman, “I’m very excited by this opportunity and looking forward to growing the FUSO business in the U.S. and Canada. Further, I would like to thank Todd Bloom for his leadership and commitment in driving the company forward.”

Glasman joined MFTBC in November 2014 and has served as MFTA’s business development director, where, in addition to her normal duties, she has been able to work alongside Todd Bloom to help ensure a smooth transition in leadership and continuity of a strategic approach to the market. Prior to joining FUSO, Glasman served as senior vice president for Comverse Inc., a leader in the telecommunications industry. During her 12-year tenure there, she managed large-scale global operations, and held various management positions in sales, customer service, and business operations.

“I have truly enjoyed my time with MFTA,” Bloom notes. “Our customers are some of the most loyal in the industry and our dealer network has remained committed to exceeding customer needs, especially given the turbulent economy we’ve all lived through for the past several years. I’m looking forward to new opportunities with FUSO globally and I wish Jecka well as she charts a course for even greater success in the years ahead.”
