VSP News: Kolman's Korner, Episode 86 - Aftermarket Solutions

Aug. 15, 2015
Friedrich Baumann, Daimler Trucks North America’s senior vice president, aftermarket, discusses how to get trucks back on the road quicker after a service event and improving customer satisfaction through aftermarket business solutions.

Even the most well-engineered trucks need maintenance and repair. And when it comes to the service event, customers are very demanding, explains Friedrich Baumann, senior vice president, aftermarket for Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA). The leading heavy duty truck manufacturer in North America, it produces and markets commercial vehicles under the Freightliner, Western Star and Thomas Built Buses nameplates.

Baumann says DTNA is continuing to enhance customer satisfaction across its dealer network by investing in, and providing, service solutions.

Another part of DTNA’s suite of aftermarket business solutions is its Elite Support dealer network. These dealerships – which must meet a stringent annual certification process – are focused not just on servicing trucks, but on the entire customer experience.
