VSP News: Kolman's Korner, Episode 123 - Vehicle Uptime

Jan. 12, 2017
John Walsh, vice president of global marketing and brand management for Mack Trucks, discusses the increasing importance of vehicle uptime.

Nowadays, especially for Class 8 trucks users, vehicle uptime has become more critical, explains John Walsh, vice president of global marketing and brand management for Mack Trucks. It is one of North America's largest producers of heavy duty trucks.

Uptime depends upon much more than the vehicle itself, and OEMs are focusing on that as well.

Mack has begun designating its dealers as Certified Uptime Centers. These dealers have instituted processes to provide faster and more efficient service experiences to customers.

Walsh says the Certified Uptime Centers have shown significant service improvements.
