The new charging hub is the first of the company’s plan to create a charging corridor along I-15, and includes 41 chargers, two kinds of truck lanes, a driver lounge, and office and parking space for lease.
Greenlane has opened its first charging site in Colton, California, and secured its first commercial fleet customer, Nevoya, a carrier that exclusively uses zero-emission vehicles. The site is located at the intersection of Interstates 215 and 10 and features over 40 high-speed chargers and an amenities lounge for truck drivers. Meanwhile, Nevoya will begin operating its fleet of electric trucks out of the Colton site in early May 2025, with the companies planning to scale their partnership to include up to 100 of Nevoya’s electric trucks.
"At Nevoya, we’re committed to driving maximal efficiency and ease for our fleet and drivers, making Greenlane a natural partner as they lead the way for a national network of ZEV fleet refueling infrastructure,” said Sami Khan, co-founder and CEO of Nevoya. “We are honored to be the first to establish operations at the Colton site and excited to join forces with Greenlane to make switching to electric trucks scalable, cost-effective, and inevitable.”
The Colton site offers 41 OEM-agnostic chargers, including 12 pull-through lanes with CCS 400kW dual-port chargers with liquid-cooled cables for Class 8 EVs. Additionally, there are 29 bobtail lanes with CCS 180 kW chargers, with the Colton location featuring precast cable trenching for future equipment expansion and upgrades to megawatt chargers in the future. Additionally, companies can lease office space and truck and trailer parking at the site for additional security and convenience.
The driver amenities include a driver lounge with food and beverages, a water refill station, restrooms, free Wi-Fi, mobile device charging stations, and 24/7 customer support. For security, the Colton site includes round-the-clock on-site attendants, security cameras, gated access, and enhanced lighting.
Greenlane opened the Colton location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 24, which included speeches from Greenlane’s CEO, Patrick Macdonald-King, City of Colton Mayor Frank J. Navarro, Daimler Truck North America’s Vice President and Chief of eMobility, Rakesh Aneja, and more. With its inaugural site established, Greenlane plans to expand its network along I-15 with additional sites roughly every 60-90 miles in Long Beach, Barstow, and Baker, California, pending site viability assessments.
