FlowBelow adds universal bracketry for Tractor AeroKit with Flex Fairing
The new kit is compatible with intermodal trailers’ landing gear, constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminum, and supported by the company’s five-year warranty.
FlowBelow Aero’s Tractor AeroKit with Flex Fairing now features universal bracketry, allowing it to fit with all makes and models of sleeper cabs and day cabs, and especially intermodal chassis.
“The universal bracketry represents a significant engineering advancement that opens new opportunities for fleets across diverse applications,” said Josh Butler, president and chief technology officer of FlowBelow. “We’ve eliminated the compatibility barriers that previously prevented certain carriers from accessing our fuel-saving technology.”
Beyond its expanded compatibility for all Class 8 truck manufacturers and configurations, the universal bracket includes several other features such as:
A repositioned mounting system to accommodate intermodal chassis landing gear
All-aluminum construction that is lighter than steel options and resists corrosion
360-degree spring-loaded rear hanger shoulder joint for multidirectional flexibility
Compatibility with FlowBelow’s TPE (Thermoplastic elastomer), which can bend and return to its original shape when hit
Supported by FlowBelow’s five-year, 500,000-mile limited warranty
According to the company, the Tractor AeroKit with Flex Fairing along with the AeroFender and Trailer Wheel Covers can help fleets save 5.88 gallons of fuel for every 1,000 miles driven.
“To our surprise, the trial units are in the same shape today that they were in when we began testing them in November 2024,” commented Justin Olsen, vice president at TCW, an intermodal fleet based in Savannah, Georgia. “We’re glad to have another option available for us to improve our fuel economy for our long-haul trucks.”
The kit is now available for purchase through FlowBelow or through any mod-center for installation on new truck builds.
