CNG station opens in central WI

Wausau, Wisconsin-Trillium CNG showcased the state's first Class 8 Truck "heavy duty" compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station in central Wisconsin. The new facility is located at the Riser BP Station and Travel Center in Rib Mountain near Wausau on Interstate 39, a major north-south Wisconsin highway.

The Trillium "CNG Experience" featured an educational seminar including channel partners Ryder, Paper Transport, Truck Country, Kulp Energy Services and the Wisconsin State Energy Office sharing their experiences with compressed natural gas operations, safety and the ability to reduce fuel costs. In addition, attendees were taken on a hands-on tour of the CNG fueling station.

The overarching message focused on the industry benefits of CNG including the over a 100 year abundant US domestic fuel supply, compelling economics versus diesel and the environmental – sustainability benefits.  Also, Trillium CNG provided examples of customer-focused solutions.
