Shell, one of the largest fuel card providers in the world, celebrates the first anniversary of its Shell Fleet Navigator Card in Canada. Shell first introduced the card to Canadian fleets in April 2014, offering unparalleled access to one of the country’s largest fuel networks and empowering its customers to significantly reduce their fuel costs.
On the heels of a successful U.S. launch one year prior, Shell introduced the Shell Fleet Navigator Card in Canada. The card allows managers to tailor their fuel network, providing them with more control and increasing their ability to alter driver behaviour and increase savings.
“We know that fuel can represent a sizable portion of a fleet’s operating costs and we saw a significant opportunity to offer our Canadian customers more convenience and cost-cutting benefits,” says Henry Miller, general manager of the Commercial Fleet Card Program for Shell in North America. “Ultimately, the Shell Fleet Navigator Card offers our customers peace of mind.”
The key benefits of the Shell Fleet Navigator Card include:
- Access: The card can be used at any service station and maintenance location where MasterCard is accepted. Drivers will also benefit from additional savings opportunities when they use their Shell Fleet Navigator Card at one of Shell’s 1,200 stations across Canada.
- Control: The card allows a high level of customization, giving fleet managers the ability to instantly enforce their company policies and significantly reduce out-of-policy expenditures.
- Fraud prevention: With chip & PIN technology, customers have protection against fraud built in. Customers can also receive email alerts about any suspicious or attempted unauthorized transactions.
- Insight: Shell’s eTRAC online management software, which produces customizable usage reports, helps fleet managers gain insight that can help improve performance and save money.
- Rewards: Shell fleet customers are provided with car wash discounts and are eligible to earn AIR MILES reward miles with their fuel purchases.
New card benefits will be introduced in the coming months for roadside assistance and maintenance discounts.
