Eaton has extended the warranty period for its Advantage Series aftermarket clutches in U.S. and Canada to three years/unlimited miles.

Eaton extends warranties for aftermarket clutches

July 15, 2019
The extended warranties are applied to Self-Adjust and Easy Pedal Advantage clutches and EverTough Self-Adjust and EverTough Manual-Adjust clutches purchased on or after July 1.

Power management company Eaton announced it is extending the manufacturer warranty periods for its popular aftermarket clutches.

As part of a continuous effort to increase value for U.S. and Canada aftermarket customers, Eaton is increasing the standard warranties for its Advantage and EverTough Series aftermarket clutches. The Advantage Self-Adjust and Easy Pedal Advantage clutch standard warranties are increased to three years/unlimited miles (from two years/unlimited miles), and the standard warranty periods for EverTough Self-Adjust and EverTough Manual-Adjust clutches are increased to two years/unlimited miles (from one year/unlimited miles).

The new warranty periods go into effect in the U.S. and Canada for the designated clutches purchased on or after July 1. The warranty periods for clutches sold in Mexico remains unchanged.

“Extending the warranty periods reflects the confidence Eaton has in the quality and reliability of our clutches,” said Tim Bauer, vice president, aftermarket, North America, Eaton’s Vehicle Group. “This change is consistent with our strategy to increase the value Eaton genuine clutches provide to our aftermarket customers, providing them the peace-of-mind that we stand behind our clutches. We know our customers have choices when it comes to aftermarket parts, and the changes we’ve made to our delivery and warranty demonstrates our ongoing commitment to build trust in the quality of Eaton branded-clutches.”

Eaton’s Advantage Series clutches are the best-selling clutches in North America, according to the company, with technology designed for OEM first-fit applications. They are designed and manufactured to deliver more protection and less maintenance for maximum uptime and performance. Their patented design is unlike other clutches on the market: a specially tuned, dual-damper system absorbs engine vibrations and prevents idle rattle, while soft rate springs protect valuable driveline components. Advantage Series clutches provide 50,000-mile lubrication intervals, and their two wear indicators improve serviceability.

Eaton EverTough clutches are designed for longevity, are available in manual-adjust and self-adjust configurations, and feature industry standard technology. EverTough Self-Adjusting clutches utilize Eaton’s proprietary self-adjusting technology that keeps the clutch in constant adjustment and maintains proper bearing release position. EverTough Manual-Adjust clutches feature proven Kwik-Adjust technology to make clutch adjustments fast and simple. All EverTough clutches come standard with a 3-zerk release bearing to simplify maintenance. Additionally, customers can extend the warranty period for their EverTough Series clutches to three years/unlimited miles by using Eaton’s Clutch Installation Kit or Eaton Reman Bundle Program (EverTough clutch plus Eaton Reman Transmission and Eaton-approved transmission fluid).

All Eaton clutches are backed by Roadranger, a national network of drivetrain expertise and support. This unique combination of durability and support provides reliability and affordability.
