Eaton’s Advantor series is a family of automated manual transmissions for light-, medium-, and medium-heavy duty trucks and buses. The lineup includes six-, eight-, and 10-speed models with torque capacities up to 700 Nm for the six-speed and 1,300 Nm for the eight- and 10-speed versions. The transmissions use an electronically controlled shifter, pneumatic clutch actuation, an inertia brake, and an intelligent transmission control unit. Features include load-based shifting, smart gear selection, hill start aid, and engine overspeed protection. A common architecture across the lineup provides component and service commonality, while certain configurations offer oil drain intervals of up to 435,000 miles.
