Downspeeding – reducing engine rpm at cruising speeds – is a trend within the trucking industry to improve fuel efficiency and lower emissions. So says John Nelligan, vice president of North American sales and service for Meritor – a leading global supplier of drivetrain, mobility, braking and aftermarket solutions for commercial vehicle and industrial markets.
