Freightliner’s Fifth-Generation Cascadia steps up efficiency with a redesign that improves fuel efficiency by 35% over the 2007 model. Aerodynamic tweaks that promote better air flow and reduce drag include the Max Aero Bumper, A-pillar deflectors, three-piece front wheel well closeouts, a hood-to-bumper seal, and new bumper air ducts. The Detroit DD13 or DD15 engine ratings go up to 505 hp and 1,850 lb.-ft. of torque. Cab updates include configurable sleeper options, advanced HVAC, and an interactive touchscreen display. The Detroit Assurance suite now features Active Brake Assist 6 and Active Lane Assist 2. Factory-installed mirror cams are also available to enhance visibility around the truck.
