FMCSA removes two ELDs from registered list
Key Highlights
- FMCSA has pulled the Walker ELD and SR ELD from its list of Registered Devices
- Fleets with these devices should switch to paper logs or other logging software
- Fleets should not be penalized for using either device until September 29, when they are expected to have switched to other systems
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) recently removed two devices form its list of registered electronic logging devices (ELDs). These devices included Walker ELD and SR ELD, which were revoked because they didn't meet the minimum requirements of Title 49 CFR Appendix A to Subpart B of Part 395, which covers the basic funcitonal requirements for ELDs.
