Thermo King's SLXi Local Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) features a light weight and slim profile design, allowing transporters to carry more cargo and increase payload capacity. The thin profile reduces the tractor-trailer gap by 6" to decrease air drag and enhance tractor fuel efficiency. The SLXi Local comes with Thermo King's Whisper kit that operates at three decibels lower than similar units to comply with growing trends in municipal noise restrictions. The TRU utilizes next-generation R452A refrigerant that reduces global warming impact by 45 percent compared to other refrigerants and is a lower emission refrigerant, says the company.
