The company has developed a body repair material using PlasticMetal that is now being used by several car manufacturers' repair facilities instead of an off-the-shelf polyester material. It's not a pre-mixed putty, but a two-part system that utilizes real metal powder and hardener. It has a higher bond strength and structural strength than the pre mixed systems on a shelf.
Recently we have been asked to look at an aluminum repair material that we sell for application on an aluminum wheel repair. That material has worked very well and we are looking at selling it for that application also. This material has been used mostly for repair of aluminum casting for automotive applications.
Our new trial material is a sealer that stops rust before it does real damage. It also protects not only the surface but goes down into the rust to coat the particles. This offers protection for body parts until they can be repaired. Working over the sealer isn't an issue. This product is currently under development.
