Hunter Engineering unveils heavy-duty pit racks for larger vehicles
The company unveiled two new heavy-duty pit rack configurations designed to help shops service larger, heavier, and longer commercial vehicles more efficiently.
Hunter Engineering has unveiled two new heavy-duty pit rack configurations, the P492HD and P493HD models, that bring added flexibility to heavy-duty alignment operations. Each rack features a 60,000-lb. capacity and built-in PowerSlide slipplates for smooth, precise wheel movement, with optional PowerSlide turnplates for additional alignment control.
The P492HD offers a space-saving design with 226" galvanized runways, which are ideal for fleets with tighter service bays, while the P493HD extends that length to 360" to accommodate oversized vehicles such as dump trucks, buses, and concrete pumpers. Both configurations are built for quick drive-on, drive-off efficiency to reduce downtime and improve throughput.
Compatible with Hunter’s existing HD jack and new HD scissor jack, the alignment racks support both independent suspensions and solid axles with a capacity of 22,000 lbs. and a 63" reach. Shops can also add an optional T-pit extension kit (built in 10-foot modular sections) to provide easier access to the rear underside of vehicles.
