Hunter Engineering has added a Compact Console configuration to its Ultimate ADAS alignment and calibration system, giving shops an option with a smaller footprint and increased maneuverability.

The new console is designed for shops that do not need onboard storage for the system's targets, including collision repair facilities or shops that already have storage available for calibration equipment.

The Compact Console stores wheel targets for quick setup and includes a 32" monitor, wireless connectivity between the console and sensor tower, preparation for an aftermarket battery backup, and three wall-mount brackets for storing the radar plate and target boards.

“Responding to customer requests, we’re excited to offer this new smaller-footprint configuration for shops without a need for onboard target storage space,” said Hunter Product Manager David Agnew. “Adding to the convenience is greater maneuverability and a reduced price.”

The Ultimate ADAS system is approved by 11 OEMs and combines alignment technology with guided target placement for static advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) calibrations.

The system uses gimbal-mounted lasers to help technicians position targets around the vehicle, replacing manual setup methods such as strings, plumb bobs, and tape measures. Hunter said the system can reduce setup time by up to 70% for some procedures.

The Compact Console configuration is available as an option for the Ultimate ADAS system.
