The OTC Motorcycle Bead Holding Pliers, No. 5730, offers a locking plier design that allows for handsfree use and eliminates the need to leave the tire spoon in place to hold the tire bead. The non-marring pliers can be easily clamped onto the wheel rim, while using tire spoons to mount or remove the tire. The specialty pliers are designed to hold the tire bead up or down when mounting or demounting a tire, so technicians can remove the spoon while the bead is held. The unique top jaw design provides a location for the tire bead to be pried or pulled to that will hold the bead, freeing one hand to complete the tire change. The bottom jaw includes a pad that locates the plier in the proper position. All jaw tips are coated to protect the wheel finish.
