Geotab introduces Work Order Management, Fault Code Enrichment

Geotab has added Work Order Management and Fault Code Enrichment in the Geotab Maintenance Center.

“With the new solutions added to the Geotab Maintenance Center, we are equipping fleet managers with the tools they need to make data-driven decisions, reduce unplanned downtime, and optimize maintenance workflows,” said Sabina Martin, vice president of product management. “We expect that Work Order Management and Fault Code Enrichment will help fleets move from reactive to predictive maintenance—improving efficiency, lowering costs, and keeping vehicles on the road.”

The Work Order Management feature allows fleet managers to handle maintenance tasks through MyGeotab, consolidating scheduling, tracking, and reporting in one place. This includes tracking maintenance, converting maintenance requests into work orders, monitoring active work orders, and analyzing costs and downtime metrics. Additionally, users can leverage Geotab’s predictive analytics to find vehicles that could fail and schedule them for preventative maintenance.

Meanwhile, the Fault Code Enrichment feature, which is powered by Noregon, will offer managers fault prioritization notices, severity ratings, recommended actions, and estimates of potential component impact. This includes recommendations to drivers on if they should deal with an issue right away, monitor it at their next stop, resolve it during a scheduled maintenance check, or keep driving.
