Fleetio expands Geotab integration with Shop Network Add-In

The new Fleetio Map Add-In for Geotab will allow fleets to search for shops near their vehicles and filter them based on preference in their MyGeotab account.

Fleetio is developing a Map Add-In for Geotab’s MyGeotab platform. The add-in will allow mutual customers of Fleetio and Geotab to search for shops based on a vehicle’s proximity and a fleet’s preferences within Geotab’s platform.

"This new feature strengthens the connection between telematics and maintenance management, allowing fleets to make informed decisions without leaving their Geotab dashboard," said Stefano Daneri, product marketing manager at Fleetio. "By integrating Fleetio’s Maintenance Shop Network, we’re enabling fleets to get back on the road quicker and eliminate the headaches associated with tracking and logging repairs."

Currently, Fleetio’s Maintenance Shop Network lets fleets connect with national, independent, and mobile service providers to speed the repair approval process while also gaining visibility into outsourced maintenance. Now, the Shop Network add-in can help fleet managers and dispatchers coordinate service in Geotab.

The Map Add-In can allow users to search for shops by proximity and view verified and unverified maintenance shops and mobile service providers near the vehicle. It also allows fleets to filter their search results by their preferred providers, and can display shop information, such as services and pricing, in a map or list view. Finally, the Add-In can allow fleets to send drivers to approved shops from MyGeotab and approve repairs in Fleetio.

This builds on Fleetio’s current integration with Geotab, which lets users sync telematics data such as GPS tracking, engine fault codes, and sensor data and utilization metrics into Fleetio’s platform.
