Cummins appoints new VPs of Components Engineering, eMobility, and more

Avdic’s new responsibilities will have her overseeing product engineering, software development, and service delivery for turbochargers, fuel systems, valvetrains, and electronics. She first joined Cummins in 2005 and has held various leadership roles across both the Engine and Components businesses. Additionally, she held several technical leadership roles. Prior to her VP appointment, she led engineering for turbochargers, fuel systems, valvetrain, software, and electronics across Components.

Chai has cultivated 20 years of leadership experience at Cummins with roles from engineering to sales, marketing, and service. He first began his career in Columbus, Indiana, in advanced controls, and later served in engineering and leadership positions across heavy-duty engineering and the Cummins Emissions Solutions (CES) business. In China, Chai served as CES China chief engineer and was later named CES China general manager. Since 2022, he was the general manager of Components China before his recent promotion.

Weber has held several senior legal roles since she first joined Cummins in 2013. Most recently, she served as deputy general counsel and head of Global Litigation. In her current role, she leads the company’s ethics, compliance, and investigations teams.

Finally, Wilson first joined Cummins in 2008. Since then, he has held several roles across corporate strategy, the growth office, Cummins’ light construction business, European off-highway sales, and the global bus business. Most recently, Wilson served as the general manager of Electrified Components before becoming general manager for Accelera’s eMobility business. Wilson is based in Columbus, Indiana, and will lead the integration of batteries, e-axles, traction systems, auxiliary controls, and electric powertrain solutions.
