The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) will host a free webinar September 29 covering voltage-drop testing and high-resistance electrical faults.

“The Art of Voltage Drop: Beyond Continuity” will be presented by Jim Wilson of ATech Training from 4 to 5 p.m. EST.

The session will focus on the difference between circuit continuity and a circuit’s ability to carry current. Wilson will examine high-resistance faults that may not appear during a static digital multimeter test but become evident when the circuit is under load.

The webinar will place particular emphasis on diagnosing difficult electrical faults in lighting and accessory circuits, including problems that can remain hidden until the system is operating under load.

Participants who attend the live session will receive a certificate of attendance. ASE also says registrants will receive information about accessing a recording if one becomes available.
