Carrier Transicold and Net Feasa are unveiling a dry container telematics solution, IoTPASS, in Q4 2024. The system is a dry container telematics solution that integrates with the Lynx Fleet platform, allowing fleets to track their both their dry and refrigerated trailers in one ecosystem.

"With IoTPASS, we are transforming the way our customers manage their assets throughout the supply chain,” said Tan Bor Yow, Senior Channel Manager, BluEdge, Global Container Refrigeration, Carrier Transicold. "It delivers the same innovation and reliability we’re known for in the refrigerated container space, now optimized for dry containers."

Some key features of IoTPASS include a compact, 3-in-1 integrated device that provides track and trace capabilities, an integrated door sensor, a heat sensor to detect in-container fires, and real-time cargo monitoring. This device can operate using cell networks, with LoRa and satellite communication as fallback options for increased connectivity in areas with limited cell coverage, and is easily installable with Carrier’s snap-spin-secure mechanism. This installation system requires only one rivet, while the device’s battery life can last over 10 years and can be supplemented with solar power.

Finally, IoTPASS can come with per-trip pricing and one-way logistics tracking for greater flexibility. The system’s global release will come through Carrier’s BluEdge Partners telematics reseller network.
