Phillips Connect Technologies (PCT) announced expandable asset tracking devices on the Geotab Marketplace.

Geotab offers an extensive ecosystem of valuable, business-focused applications and add-ons via the Geotab Marketplace, which helps provide businesses with the tools needed to better manage their fleets. With the addition of Phillips Connect Technologies on the Geotab Marketplace, Geotab customers can access a suite of solutions that help to maximize driver time through enhanced asset visibility and utilization.

PCT’s solutions, available for all non-powered asset types, deliver utilization metrics, helping to improve vehicle safety, and drive financial ROI, the company says. Base model solutions are expandable, which allows the asset owner to deploy additional sensors that can increase value customized around the owner’s specific needs.

“Geotab’s open platform is a perfect fit for our solutions,” said Rob Phillips, CEO of PCT. “Together, we provide a true connected vehicle offering for the transportation industry, providing fleet managers with access to one platform to manage all of their assets in real-time which helps deliver consistent results to their bottom line.”

By leveraging patented technology embedded in more than 8 million IoT devices deployed on vehicles in operation today, PCT has built a suite of state-of-the-art asset tracking solutions that can help solve critical problems and provide a significant return on investment for the transportation industry. Designed specifically for harsh operating environments, all PCT solutions are easy to install, IP67 rated, and will endure real-world abuse that non-powered assets see every day. Users can locate these assets, maximize productivity, and give their customers a live view into their trailers, containers, and chassis. In addition to location tracking, PCT can integrate multiple sensors that monitor cargo status and add visibility of health status in real-time, providing valuable information to customers to help them find efficiencies and lower their overall costs.

“Geotab understands the increased importance of asset tracking and utilization in the transportation industry today and as a result, are very excited to welcome Phillips Connect to the Geotab Marketplace,” said Louis De Jong, executive vice president, Geotab. “By providing our over 40,000 customers with access to expanded asset tracking solutions, like PCT, we are equipping them with the advanced insights they need to help improve their fleet’s productivity, asset utilization, and more.”
