Isuzu is marking a major milestone for its Veterans Apprenticeship Program with a formal signing ceremony at the company’s Center of Excellence in Pittston, Pennsylvania. The company, which produces commercial trucks, is working with the U.S. Department of Labor, ERS Elite, and its nationwide dealer network to connect veterans with technician career opportunities.

The Isuzu Veterans Apprenticeship Program (IVAP) provides a pathway for transitioning service members and veterans to civilian technician careers at participating Isuzu dealerships across the U.S.

The program combines paid dealership employment with on-the-job learning, mentorship, Isuzu technical training, and a structured apprenticeship pathway. It is designed to build on mechanical and technical skills developed through military service, including experience maintaining vehicles, equipment, aircraft, power-generation systems, and other complex machinery.

For participating veterans, the program provides opportunities for professional development and technical certification, along with long-term earning potential. Isuzu said the program can help dealers expand service capacity, improve shop productivity, reduce recruiting and turnover, and develop technicians who can grow their careers within their businesses.
