There are a number of tools and calculators available to help fleets perform lifecycle costs analysis. Here are two of them.

The NAFA Fleet Management Association – the association for the vehicle fleet management profession – offers a narrated CD-ROM, Lifecycle Cost Analysis for Fleets, that discusses how to perform the process and includes all the relevant costs incurred over the lifetime of a vehicle. For more information, visit www.nafa.org/nafastore.

E3 Fleet – a program that helps public and private sector fleets of vehicles meet green standards for performance – has developed a lifecycle analysis tool, available for download at http://www.e3fleet.com/cost_analysis.html.
