RepairPal and ASE work together to benefit consumers and auto repair shops

Dec. 17, 2015
Focused on helping consumers connect with high quality repair shops, the RepairPal Certified Network features more than 1,400 shops nationwide.

RepairPal and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) are working together to highlight excellence and quality in the auto repair industry. RepairPal’s mission is to elevate the quality of auto repair through its shop certification program, which incorporates multiple measurements. Focused on helping consumers connect with high quality repair shops, the RepairPal Certified Network features more than 1,400 shops nationwide. ASE is a non-profit organization that provides voluntary testing to verify technical competency in various service areas. ASE’s Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition Program identifies shops that employ at least 75 percent of their auto service professionals as ASE Certified.

RepairPal and ASE will collaborate on several initiatives going forward:

  • RepairPal.com, the largest car repair site online with over 3,500,000 monthly unique visitors, will add information on the significance of ASE certification and ASE Blue Seal affiliation
  • ASE Blue Seal designation and information will be included on appropriate shop profiles on RepairPal.com
  • Special opportunities will be offered to current and new ASE Blue Seal shops to join the RepairPal Certified Network

“The relationship between ASE and RepairPal really compliments our organizations as we both strive to identify quality service providers in auto repair.” said Steve Moretti, vice president and general manager of business development at RepairPal. “ASE is the standard for technician certification in the service and repair industry, and we're happy to help educate consumers while simultaneously providing unique value to ASE Blue Seal shops.“

The goal of RepairPal’s shop certification program is to identify quality auto repair locations with fair business practices. RepairPal requires that auto repair shops employ qualified technicians on their staff, so ASE Blue Seal shops are viewed very positively during the RepairPal Certified application process.

Trish Serratore, senior vice president of ASE, added “We're excited to work with RepairPal to bring more exposure of the ASE brand to consumers, and appreciate their ongoing support of ASE certification for our customers and within the industry.”
