As it won't be long before snow and ice coat America's roadways, here are some of Michelin's latest on pre-mold retreads.

Snow and ice will be on the ground before you know it. But as America's trucks keep rolling, Michelin has released their latest in retreads ahead of the winter season.

The Michelin's X One Line Energy D2 Pre-Mold retread tire is created for long-haul transportation and is designed to save on fuel costs to lower the total cost of ownership.

“The Michelin X One Line Energy D2 Pre-Mold’s new ultra-low rolling resistance levels are designed to exceed SmartWay and CARB requirements,” said Pierluigi Cumo, B2B VP of Marketing for Michelin North America, Inc. “It’s compact tread design, with less flexibility in the tire tread between the tread surface and tire carcass, provides better energy conservation for greater fuel efficiency.”

The company says the Regenion evolving tread design provides stability in all weather conditions, even when worn, which is critical to long-haul drivers.

For the harsh winter season, Michelin is rolling out the Michelin X One XDS 2 Pre-Mold tire. It's designed for extreme winter conditions so the driver feels secure.

The Michelin X One XDS2 Pre-Mold offers the same snow traction as the Michelin XDS2+ Pre-Mold tire, with it’s potential weight savings, offering 365 lbs. more payload than dual tires, the company says.

Designed with driver confidence in mind and optimized traction for snow, the Michelin X One XDS2 recap is specifically made to tame the Canadian winters’ cold weather environments, and is available as a retread only.
