Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems named Piotr Sroka as its newest president and CEO. Sroka will handle his new responsibilities, while also retaining his position as COO. He started that job in July 2023. Sroka has been with Bendix’s parent company, Knorr-Bremse, since 2020, when he co-led the European CVS division and was the senior executive leader for the global Air Supply & Drivetrain business and Industrial Engineering and Indirect Purchasing unit.
“Sound, experienced leaders supply the vision and guidance that enable ongoing business growth,” said Bernd Spies, member of the Knorr-Bremse AG Executive Board – responsible for the CVS division. “Piotr is a true embodiment of this notion. His insight, vision, drive, and transformation mindset continue to be a solid addition to the Bendix leadership team, helping drive long-term success. He brings deep business acumen, global vision, diversity of experience, and strong product and operations expertise at a critical time in our organizational growth.”
In addition to his new role, Sroka is still on the Bendix Leadership Committee and remains president and CEO of the Bendix Executive Board alongside Dan Tassinari, CFO and VP of Finance, Indirect Purchasing, and IT.
The new president first joined Bendix in 2023, coming to the company after serving as a member of the Management Board of Knorr-Bremse SfN, the commercial vehicle systems division of Bendix’s parent company. Most recently, he was also co-responsible for Knorr-Bremse SfN’s European CVS division and was the senior executive leader for the global Air Supply & Drivetrain business and Industrial Engineering and Indirect Purchasing unit.
Including his time with Knorr-Bremse, Sroka has over 20 years of international experience in the automotive industry. Prior to joining Knorr-Bremse, he worked as the VP of the integration management office for WABCO. Sroka worked for WABCO for 11 years in various leadership positions and served as general manager and business leader of global steering at WABCO’s R.H. Sheppard business for two years. In addition, Sroka also worked in production and quality at Weldmet Industries, Delphi, and Valvex S.A.
