The Model 567 SFFA is available in both 115" and 121" BBC lengths and in multiple configurations.

Peterbilt Motors Company announced its vocational Model 567 in a set-forward front axle configuration is now in full production. Peterbilt hosted Con-Tech Manufacturing to drive the first full production truck off the assembly line at Peterbilt’s Denton, Texas, manufacturing facility.

“Customer excitement has been high for the full availability of our newest vocational workhorse, the Model 567 in a set-forward front axle (SFFA) configuration,” said Robert Woodall, Peterbilt assistant general manager of sales and marketing. “Peterbilt’s Model 567 SFFA lets customers maximize payloads while helping meet state and federal bridge law requirements with a chassis that optimizes weight distribution. It’s a great truck for mixer applications and Con-Tech was an ideal choice to visit and participate in this special milestone with us.”

Peterbilt introduced the Model 567 SFFA earlier this year during the World of Concrete show in Las Vegas.

“It was a great experience to tour Peterbilt’s plant and see firsthand the state-of-the-art assembly processes and the quality that goes into every truck they build,” said Dan Welsh, president and co-owner of Con-Tech Manufacturing. “Peterbilt trucks are a great way for us to showcase our High Performance BridgeKing and Extreme Duty concrete mixers.”

Con-Tech, founded in 2006, bases both its headquarters and production in Dodge Center, Minn. The company designs, manufactures and installs ready-mix bodies, such as its High Performance Drum and specialized packages such as the BridgeKing model (for optimized weight distribution and bridge law compliance).

“It was a nice honor to drive the first truck off the assembly line and we’re excited that it will soon be equipped with one of our leading High Performance mixers,” said Con-Tech Vice President and Co-owner Grant McNeilus. “The Peterbilt Model 567 SFFA is lightweight, durable and maneuverable. Optimized axle placement and exceptional weight distribution makes it an excellent match for our BridgeKing model which helps customers comply with restricted-weight roadways and bridges.”

The Model 567 SFFA is available in both 115" and 121" BBC lengths. The 115" BBC has a bumper to front axle distance of 29" and the 121" BBC has a bumper to front axle distance of 31". Peterbilt also offers the Model 567 in a set-back front axle configuration, also available in a 115" or 121" BBC length.

Both Model 567 configurations are standard with the PACCAR MX-13 engine with up to 500 hp and 1,850 ft/lbs of torque. They are available as a day cab or with Peterbilt’s complete lineup of detachable sleepers, including the new 58" sleeper.
