TMC releases 2026–2027 Recommended Practices Manual

American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council has released its 2026–2027 Recommended Practices (RP) Manual, a comprehensive update to one of the industry’s most widely used maintenance and engineering resources.

The latest edition spans nearly 3,700 pages and includes updated recommended practices covering equipment design, maintenance procedures, and performance standards. The RP Manual is developed through TMC’s collaborative process, bringing together fleets, manufacturers, and service providers to establish consensus-based guidance for the commercial vehicle industry.

Used by maintenance leaders and technicians, the manual serves as a reference for improving uptime, standardizing shop practices, and supporting spec’ing decisions across truck and trailer equipment.
