BendPak launches 10k- and 12K-lb. capacity lifts

The 12APF lift offers 12,000-lb capacity with a low overhead bar, ideal for high-roof vehicles, while the AL10C provides a budget-friendly 10,000-lb option with reliable performance for garages and shops.

BendPak has recently released a duo of two-post lifts for light-duty, with 10,000- and 12,000-lb. capacities, respectively, to provide more flexibility in the shop. They include the BendPak 12APF open-top two-post lift and APEX by BendPak AL10C two-post lift.

BendPak 12APF

The BendPak 12APF features a 12,000-lb. capacity and eliminates the overhead bar, and was designed for shops with low ceilings that still require sufficient vertical clearance and lifting power for high-roof cargo vans and work trucks with equipment such as ladder racks and cranes. This allows technicians to avoid working in less ergonomic positions that reduce productivity, according to BendPak.

BendPak also engineered the 2-post lift with the patented Bi-Metric adaptable swing arm so techs can move more easily between lifting asymmetrically and symmetrically on a single lift without changing arms. The telescoping three-stage arms retract down to 26" and extend to 60" to meet demanding OEM lifting points. The dropped ends, meanwhile, slide easily under low vehicles. Frame cradle pads, medium adapters, and tall adapters come standard.

On the safety side, the ASARS (Automatic Swing Arm Restraint System) provides a full 360-degree grip with 10 times the holding power to lock the lift arms firmly in place under the vehicle, BendPak said.

The 12APF also has shortened columns for easier installation, while the lift’s extended rise offers an additional six feet of working area under the vehicle. All of the hydraulic and equalizer lines are protected beneath a durable steel floorplate, enabling smoother movement of jacks, drain pans, and other equipment around the bay.

“Low ceilings don’t have to limit the work a shop can perform,” explained Sean Price, BendPak director of product development and quality. “We engineered the BendPak 12APF two-post lift to provide power, flexibility, and reliability for servicing a wide range of vehicles in shops of all sizes.”

The BendPak 12APF two-post lift is ALI-certified and independently tested. The warranty covers five years on the lift structure, two on the hydraulic cylinders and power unit, and one on components, labor, and freight charges.

APEX by BendPak AL10C

APEX by BendPak, the company’s economical line, also released the 10,000-lb. capacity AL10C for shops and home garages, allowing users to perform work on everything from compact cars to full-size pickups. It was previously offered under the GrandPrix name and is backed by a three-year warranty.

“The APEX AL10C is the lowest-priced 10,000 lb. capacity two-post lift in our lineup,” explained Tyler Rex, BendPak senior director of marketing. “For customers who don’t need the advanced technology and cutting-edge productivity features of our top-tier AP Series lifts, the APEX AL10C offers reliable performance at an affordable price backed by BendPak’s industry-leading warranty, customer service and support.”

The APEX AL 10C is powered by a direct-drive hydraulic system with dual full-stroke hydraulic cylinders. According to the company, this provides a smoother lifting experience while reducing the number of moving parts and maintenance needs. To reduce fatigue, the lift employs oversized cable sheaves and aircraft-quality equalizer cables. The ultra-high-molecular-weight (UHMW) polyethylene guide blocks self-lubricate, allowing technicians to spend less time greasing the lift and more time on the vehicle being lifted.

Other key features include a flexible arm for symmetric or asymmetric lifting and clearfloor design that allows for unrestricted movement under the vehicle. The triple-telescoping front arms and dual-stage rear arms also accommodate a wide range of lifting points.

The lift comes with automatic safety locks, as well as telescoping screw pads and stackable adapters, for a stable, secure lift.
