Mack Trucks North America names Jonathan Randall as president

The trucking veteran will report to Martin Weissburg, global president of Mack Trucks and chairman of Volvo Group North America.

Effective Dec. 1, 2022, Jonathan Randall will assume the role of president of Mack Trucks North America. He will report to Martin Weissburg, global president of Mack Trucks and chairman of Volvo Group North America. Randall has been with Mack for nearly seven years, and his most title was senior vice president, North American sales and commercial operations. He joined Mack in 2016 as SVP, North American sales.

“Jonathan is a proven leader who is passionate about working with our dealers and customers to grow Mack’s business as we introduce new services and products to the North American market,” said Weissburg.

One of those newer products has been the Mack LR Electric, which was officially launched in March 2022.

Randall has more than 25 years of commercial vehicle experience, starting out with Daimler Trucks North America, before stints with Wrighstpeed, an electric powertrain maker (now called Revo), and Hines Specialty Group, which provides the agricultural industry with vocational equipment.

Randall, who has a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, will continue to be based at the company’s headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina.
