Mack updates virtual Truck Builder

Sept. 10, 2024
The truck manufacturer upgraded its online Truck Builder application with enhanced financing and design options and Mack Connect integrations.

Mack Trucks has launched the next generation of its Truck Builder digital platform, which allows users to customize their Mack truck designs before submitting specifications. The program has been overhauled from the company’s previous customization technology.

"Our new Truck Builder isn't just an upgradeit's a complete reimagining of how customers interact with our products," said David Galbraith, Mack Trucks vice president of global brand and marketing. "We've created an immersive, user-friendly experience that brings the excitement of building a Mack truck to life in new and unprecedented ways."

The builder covers Mack Pinnacle, Grante, Mack Anthem, Mack MD Series and Mack LR trucks, including the MD Electric and LR Electric models. Through the program, users can view and manipulate a 3D rendering of their truck’s exterior and cab’s interior, including trim options. They can also select the vehicle’s exterior color and can control their component selection across the body, powertrain, axles, suspension, and chassis. The platform also offers users multiple viewing angles, including a studio view to a 360-degree rotation feature with detailed hotspots.

Additionally, the Truck Builder now integrates Mack’s financing options and its performance dashboard, Mack Connect. Users can now view Mack’s financing solutions, including loans, leases, and insurance options for both over-the-road and vocational applications. The program also introduces users to Mack Connect’s data, location tracking, analytics, and diagnostics features.

"By incorporating these essential ownership aspects into Truck Builder, we're providing customers with a truly comprehensive view of what it means to own a Mack truck," Galbraith said. "This tool not only allows customers to design their ideal truck but also helps them envision how Mack supports their business long after the initial purchase."

Once a user has completed their build, the Truck Builder saves it so that they can revisit and modify their design and connects them to local Mack dealers to iron out the vehicle’s specs.
