Former Meritor CEO Jay Craig steps into the role after joining the Hyliion board in 2022.

Electrified powertrain manufacturer Hyliion has appointed Jeffrey A. "Jay" Craig as its new chairman of the board. Effective Dec. 12, Craig succeeded Ed Olkkola, who recently died from cancer, according to a Hyliion press release.

“I am honored to step into this role as Hyliion makes further advancements along its commercialization path and looks ahead at production later this year. Hyliion’s mission of transforming commercial trucking through innovative electrification solutions is both ambitious and necessary. With Craig’s appointment, Hyliion has reduced its board size to nine members.
