Pilot names Stacy Batiste as 2025 Road Warrior champion
Batiste won $50,000 in cash and a custom-built Kenworth truck, while the competition runner-up, Bobby Peeker, won $10,000 and a $25,000 donation to a veteran-support charity.
Stacy Batiste of Lafayette, Louisiana, has won Pilot’s 2025 Road Warrior competition. As a result, Pilot awarded him with a custom Kenworth truck built by the Diesel Brothers and a $50,000 cash prize. Additionally, the second-place winner, Bobby Peeker of Woodruff, South Carolina, won $10,000 in cash and a $25,000 donation to a charity for veterans of his choosing.
“We received thousands of entries celebrating the efforts of drivers who go the extra mile each and every day. Stacy’s and Bobby’s hard work, dedication to the profession, commitment to safety and service stood out. We are honored to welcome them to the Road Warrior winner’s circle,” said Jordan Spradling, senior vice president of transportation and midstream assets at Pilot Company. “They both are prime examples of the positive impact professional drivers have on and off the road.”
After starting his career hauling sugar cane in South Louisiana, Batiste has been a driver for the past 33 years and logged over 5.1 million accident-free miles. A Marine Corps veteran, he also stood out to Pilot as a mentor for young drivers.
Meanwhile, Peeker is also a Marine Corps veteran who’s successfully run over one million accident-free miles. When he’s not in the driver’s seat, he volunteers to help out his fellow veterans, and does truck shows to support Special Olympics.
