Cojali Digital Hub streamlines fleet-wide software updates

The system is designed to help fleets update their software and maintain regulatory compliance and cybersecurity for their vehicles.

Cojali has unveiled a new Software Update and Management System (SUMS) for commercial vehicle manufacturers called the Cojali Digital Hub platform. The system is designed to comply with UNECE R156 regulations and is designed to help keep vehicle systems up-to-date throughout their lifecycle.

The Cojali Digital Hub platform is “adaptable, modular, agnostic, and [a] manufacturer-to-manufacturer digital solution,” according to the company, which can integrate with several component suppliers. It allows for interoperability with other SUMS platforms developed by Tier-1 manufacturers and can be integrated with those manufacturers.

More specifically, it allows CV manufacturers to manage their software update packages in a central location from vehicle manufacturing to when they’re working in a fleet. It can do so by providing remote OTA software updates for a fleet all at one while also showing records of when updates took place and what was changed for a fleet. Repair and maintenance information can also be integrated into the platform for secure operation.

Additionally, Knorr-Bremse is assisting with this stage after developing their own SUMS (iTrailer) platform for its trailer-mounted products. The company is providing Cojali with its expertise in braking systems and safety technologies.
