J.J. Keller releases new regulation certification program
The training will take place March 2-6, 2026, at J.J. Keller’s corporate headquarters and include classes on driver and vehicle compliance, audit preparation, and more.
“Fleet professionals are under constant pressure to maintain compliance while managing operational demands,” said Dustin Kufahl, vice president of consulting and training services at J. J. Keller. “The CTRE Certification Program gives them the tools, knowledge, and confidence to not only meet the regulatory requirements, but to excel as leaders in their organizations. On top of that, they earn an industry credential recognizing their achievement.”
The program includes live drills, interactive lessons, tabletop exercises, and audit simulations to show how the regulations work for several departments, from driver and driving rules to vehicle compliance. The curriculum will cover:
The basics of FMCSR, including the structure and interpretation of regulations, DOT registration, and insurance and recordkeeping requirements
Driver qualifications and drug/alcohol testing on compliant DQ files, clearinghouse protocols, and audits exposure prevention
Driving and HOS rules, such as how to use ELDs, log audits, and HOS exceptions and falsification prevention
Vehicle and hazmat compliance, such as maintenance programs, DVIRs, cargo securement, and safety technologies
Enforcement and audit preparation, including CSA scoring, safety ratings, and strategies for responding to Notices of Violations and Claims
The training will include small-group instruction, access to compliance resources, ongoing support, and updates on regulatory changes. Enrollment is currently open for those who wish to attend.
