AMRA attorney, Ms. Helen Mac Murray reported on recently passed and proposed laws and regulations affecting the automotive aftermarket, including marketing and telecommunication of auto repair services.

Mr. Lynn Parker, AMRA Chairman and CEO updated AMRA members on the continued growth, further development, ongoing successfulness and renewed relevance of the Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association and its Motorist Assurance Program in today’s automotive aftermarket.

“AMRA/MAP’s mission of strengthening the relationship between the motorist and the automotive maintenance and repair service industry is as important today as when AMRA/MAP was founded more than twenty years ago,” Joseph M. Henmueller, AMRA/MAP President and COO remarked during the meeting. “As vehicles and vehicle service become increasingly more complex -- shops, consumers and governmental regulators rely upon AMRA/MAP to provide clear, understandable vehicle inspection and communication standards for the industry.”

More than one hundred and thirty AMRA members and guests attended this years’ annual business meeting and then enjoyed elegant cocktails and hors d'oeuvres during AMRA/MAP’s popular networking reception.

AMRA/MAP looks forward to even greater successes and annual meeting attendance during 2015. The Motorist Assurance Program (MAP) is an educational/outreach program of the Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association.
