Bridgestone Americas recently released the Bridgestone W920 tire, a tandem-axle radial drive tire for all weather conditions.
“Our aim with the W920 is to mitigate risks and elements that weather brings to the road and give drivers more confidence in these uncertain conditions,” said Brad Booth, director, Canadian Commercial Sales, Bridgestone Americas. “The Bridgestone W920 tire with ENLITEN technology illustrates our company’s passion for bringing products to the market that directly respond to the needs of fleets in different regions.”
The tire builds on its predecessor the Bridgestone W919, and also includes ENLITEN technology to increase tire life, traction, and sustainability, according to the company.
Key features include:
Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification for rain and snow traction
Six percent longer tire life, which Bridgestone says equates to 10,000 more miles compared to competitors
Non-directional tread pattern to simplify mounting, rotation, and overall management, plus stone rejector platforms, specialized tread compounds, and full-depth sipes
Premium casing for multiple retread cycles
Bridgestone is producing the W920 tire at its Warren County Plant in Tennessee. The tire will launch in the 11R22.5 size, with more to come in 2026.
