MARTINS acquires Bruno Wessel, Road Grip tire stud brands

MARTINS has expanded its tire service portfolio with the acquisition of the Bruno Wessel and Road Grip brands, both known for manufacturing tire studs for a range of on- and off-road applications.

The two brands produce tire studs designed for light- and heavy-duty trucks, as well as passenger vehicles, snowplows, and mining equipment. Their product lineup includes aluminum and steel studs as well as screw-in stud options designed to improve traction and durability in icy and snowy conditions.

With the acquisition, MARTINS adds a new category of products focused on traction and winter safety to its existing portfolio of tire service equipment and shop tools.

Dépelteau added that the acquisition, which is the fifth for the company in recent years, aligns with the company’s broader growth strategy and that MARTINS remains open to additional opportunities that support product expansion and international reach.

For Bruno Wessel, the transition continues the legacy of a family-run business founded more than 50 years ago.
