Transense Technologies, through its Translogik division, has secured a development and supply contract with Continental to develop a next-generation digital tire management tool for the commercial vehicle industry.

Under the agreement, Translogik will develop a version of its handheld TLGX device with enhanced functionality tailored to Continental’s operational requirements. Continental plans to deploy the tool across its global service network.

The tool is intended to provide technicians with an integrated solution for digital tire management, potentially reducing the need for multiple devices during tire inspections and service. The project comes as fleets and service providers increasingly adopt tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), digital tire inspections and other connected tire-management technologies.

The companies said the project also addresses growing requirements for tire traceability and lifecycle data, including forthcoming European Union Digital Product Passport requirements.

The six-month, funded development program is expected to generate more than £700,000 annually for Transense, subject to completion, while expanding its work with Continental on digital tire management and connected maintenance.
