Nov. 9, 2023
The new app, MyTechXpert, is free to download and offers technical tire specs, part numbers, and training videos, among other features.

Michelin North America launched the company’s newest iteration of their Truck Tire Technical Data Book in the form of the MyTechXpert app. Compatible with both Android and iOS devices and free to download from the Google Play and App Store, the app grants fleets and tire dealers access to Michelin product information, technical specs, and diagnostic advice on tire wear and tear.

“This new mobile truck tire technical database will allow our customers to quickly find detailed information on each tire, locate part numbers, and make the most informed decision for their needs,” said Pierluigi Cumo, vice president of B2B Marketing for Michelin North America, Inc.

The app also includes a quick-search feature for specific tires and common characteristics; images for tire diagnostics; technical details from the Michelin Service Manual on tire mounting, safety instructions, and pressure recommendations; training videos, and product ranges for new tires and retreads.

“With the app, [technicians] can run initial diagnostics on tire wear, get technical advice, and optimize tire costs while reducing the fleet’s environmental footprint,” Cumo concluded.

MyTechXpert will also feature regular software updates and developments.
