Eberspaecher updates Cooltronic parking cooler line for truck cabs
Truck fleets looking to reduce idle time while improving driver comfort now have new parking cooling options from Eberspaecher. The company has introduced the next generation of its Cooltronic roof-mounted parking coolers, designed to cool sleeper and cab environments without running the engine.
The new Cooltronic 2000 G3 Hatch and Cooltronic 1600 G3 Hatch systems are available for both 12- and 24-volt applications and offer cooling capacities up to 2,000W and 1,600W, respectively. Designed for installation in a truck’s roof hatch, the systems provide engine-off climate control to reduce fuel consumption, operating costs, and emissions associated with idling during driver rest periods.
The units weigh about 68 lb. and feature a compact 33.5 x 25.6 x 6.6 in. footprint, which can simplify integration for upfitters and fleets spec’ing sleeper cab equipment. Eberspaecher said the systems are designed as ready-to-install packages, with vehicle-specific installation kits available to streamline fitment and reduce installation complexity.
The parking coolers also include inverter technology for quieter operation and smoother startup performance. Additional features include undervoltage protection to help preserve battery capacity for engine starting, along with a touch display and remote control for cab temperature adjustments.
