Rainier Truck to add first Class 8 cabover engine model to lineup

Production of the Class 8 model is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Adding to its lineup of Class 4-7 cabover engine (COE) truck models, Rainier Trucks & Chassis LLC has entered an agreement with Sinotruk to also offer a Class 8 COE model. 

Sinotruk, a heavy duty truck manufacturer based in China, supplies the cabs for Rainier's Class 4 to 7 truck lineup.

The Class 8 COE model will be a "U.S. version" of the Sinotruk Howo-A7 Series truck.

Production is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2019.
