Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing and lifecycle management, reports its Clean Diesel initiative that began in 2011 reached a new milestone. With multiple new clients, the company’s equipment orders for Class 8 tractors for the six-month period ending June 2014 exceeded 1,500 tractors, marking significant growth.

Peter Flynn, senior vice president of portfolio management and remarketing, explained that their innovative EXchangeIT business model has attracted a wide range of new clients in various industries including food processing and distribution. EXchangeIT allows clients the option to upgrade equipment after three years based on lower cost opportunities using newer equipment technologies that reduce maintenance costs and lower fuel consumption providing a lower annual cost of ownership.

Fleet Advantage is saving its clients in excess of $12,000-$15,000 per tractor in the first year of operation by purchasing and disposing of their pre-2011 equipment and replacing it with new 2015 clean diesel tractors.

  • Our EXchangeIT product maximizes fuel economy and reduces maintenance costs. Clients are experiencing as much a 20% improvement in fuel economy by replacing older equipment with new 2015 tractors, which translates into millions of dollars in annual savings,” said Flynn.  “With the combined strength of the used truck market, our clients are also able to capture immediate gains on sale.”

Flynn attributed the company’s continued growth in part to client acceptance of big data analytics, continuous improvement of clean diesel equipment and their flexible financing model. Fleet Advantage’s value proposition helps clients achieve the lowest cost of ownership while also reducing CO2 emissions.
