Latest Bendix Fusion now available on Kenworth T680 vehicles

The PAEB can provide audible and visual alerts and braking if it detects someone in the vehicle’s forward path, while the High Beam Assist option can automatically deactivate the high beam headlights in certain conditions.

As well as those new features, the latest Bendix Fusion also includes a forward-facing camera and upgraded software support system. It also has previous Fusion features such as autonomous emergency braking, multi-lane autonomous emergency braking, highway departure braking, stationary vehicle braking, lane departure warning, and the Bendix BlindSpotter side object detection system, as well as alerts to reduce driver distraction. Finally, Fusion is built on Bendix’s ESP Electronic Stability Program to help mitigate rollovers and loss-of-control incidents.

However, both Kenworth and Bendix emphasize that ADAS do not replace a driver’s expertise, attention, and training, and should only augment them.
